Data Scientist (m/f/d)

• You will develop AI and data solutions for real customer applications — not as prototypes, but for productive use. You will actively use AI in your own day-to-day work, from AI-assisted coding to building your own agents.
• You will contribute to the development of AI models, data structures and reusable solution components, integrating them seamlessly into our AI platform.
• You will analyze business requirements, select the right method from the full spectrum of modern AI and translate them into scalable, technically robust solutions with clear business value.
• You will take a holistic approach to solution development, combining model development, data preparation and platform integration while working closely with our customers.
• You will actively contribute your ideas to the ongoing development of our AI platform and help shape its future capabilities and performance.

• A degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or a comparable field.
• Practical experience as a Data Scientist — you have not only designed models, but also brought them into production and understand what matters in real-world deployment.
• Confident hands-on experience with our tech stack: Python, PyTorch and PySpark are part of your daily toolkit. Experience with modern lakehouse formats such as Delta or Iceberg is a strong plus.
• Solid expertise in machine learning, deep learning and current developments around LLMs and agent systems. You know when to use which approach — and where its limitations are.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus. AltaSigma itself is cloud-agnostic.

• You communicate clearly and can explain complex topics in an understandable way — fluently in German and with very good English skills.
